Membership
AMVETS members, including those at AMVETS Post #12 D.C. in the DMV area, enjoy savings and benefits from our many partners and participate in post activities for fun, community service, and to help fellow veterans across many aspects of life. AMVETS is a veterans service organization that welcomes anyone who is currently serving or who has honorably served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves.
Annual membership dues are $30.
Life membership:
Starting on September 1, 2023, the membership dues will be as follows:
- Individuals aged 55 and below: $500
- Individuals aged 56 to 65: $400
- Individuals aged 66 and over: $300
These dues are nonrefundable and should be paid directly to the post. Of the total amount, 50 percent will be forwarded to National Headquarters, and 25 percent will go to the state department.
